Emerging from the Canary Islands' underground, Akane has quietly built a distinct identity around fragile, intimate songwriting. Drifting through hazy, dream-like spaces touched by a distinct Lynchian melancholy, she builds delicate pop structures that feel suspended in a late-night fog, favoring quiet introspection over conventional forms.
Based in the UK, Vicki Bennett has spent decades pioneering the art of audio-visual plunderphonics. Digging deep into archival media, she cuts and pastes found audio and film into sharp, witty collages that question how we archive, own, and consume culture, cementing her status as a foundational figure in experimental sampling.
Japanese artist Takuro Mizuta Lippit treats the turntable not as a playback device, but as an instrument for physical disruption. Alongside his background in turntable performance and music theory education, he hacks custom hardware to stretch the limits of recorded sound and redefine how we interact with physical media.
A vital anchor of the São Paulo experimental scene, Granado has long balanced group projects with a distinct solo vision. He pieces together fractured organic rhythms, dusty beat-making techniques, and warm synthesizer layers into a loose, organic flow that reflects the eclectic pulse of his home city.
Rooted in the volcanic tropical landscapes of the Canary Islands, the members of Lagoss channel their distinct insular environment into a DJ act full of references and unreleased experiments. Unspooling the deeper catalogue behind the project, the sets wander through cloudy, humid corners of heavy dub, krautrock momentum, murky hip-hop, and obscure, warped covers.
